Research Interests

1. Systematics of birds: I use genetic markers and genomes to study the systematics of birds. By determining the phylogenetic relationships of certain birds, to answer questions about their evolutionary history, phenotype evolution, biogeographic process, and comparative genomics.

2. Conservation Genetics of endangered pheasants: I use genetic markers and genomes to study the Conservation Genetics of endangered pheasants in China, including their genetic diversity, population structure, demography, and adaptive evolution. Based on these information, our lab propose suitable conservation strategy for endangered pheasants in China.
